Op (gezondheids)avontuur door Zuid-Oost Azië
Hi allemaal! Zoals jullie misschien wel weten heb ik het afgelopen jaar met veel plezier voor Rozemarijn & Thijm in de winkel gewerkt en o.a. ook de blogs geschreven. Vanaf half september ga ik een halfjaar weg naar Zuid-Oost Azië. Hier ga ik in mijn eentje backpacken om er even tussenuit te zijn nu ik klaar ben met mijn studie Food Innovation aan de HAS in Den Bosch. Ik hoop tijdens mijn reis veel inspiratie & kennis op de doen op het gebied van voeding en gezondheid, maar natuurlijk ga ik ook volop genieten van al het moois dat de landen te bieden hebben.
Zo ben ik heel benieuwd in hoeverre ik daar gezond kan blijven eten en hoe gezond mensen daar over het algemeen leven. Ik heb zo’n gevoel dat ik nog heel veel kan leren door de oude kennis die daar nog ligt en zou bijvoorbeeld ook heel graag met zo’n oude medicijnenman willen praten. Daarnaast ga ik ook een retraite doen bij monniken in een klooster, waar je ook de mogelijkheid hebt om in stilte (niet mogen praten) je tijd door te brengen.
Mijn reis begint in Bali, waar ik eerst een maandje tot rust zal komen en familie opzoek. Daarna is mijn plan om voor 2 maanden naar Thailand te gaan en daar eerst het zuiden en dan het noorden te verkennen. Dan vervolg ik mijn reis naar Laos, waar je práchtige jungles hebt en ga ik vanuit daar naar Cambodja. Tussendoor wil ik nog een vriendin opzoeken in Singapore en vervolgens sluit ik mijn reis af in Vietnam. Kortom: een onwijs leuke tijd voor de boeg!

Met mijn bedrijf De Appeltheker deel ik via social media kennis over de kracht van voeding en wil ik vooral mijn leeftijdsgenoten bewust maken.
