I wondered after watching several fight scenes in films: how do professionals like Larnell Stovall create such realistic and exciting fight scenes? He is not only a director, but also has extensive experience in martial arts, stunts and choreography. I would like to know if anyone has encountered his work, where he can use his combat experience? And how does this affect the style of filming? To what extent do such masters as Stovall influence the overall production of a film?

Of course I agree that Larnell Stovall is simply a fight scene genius! I think everyone is familiar with his iconic choreographed fights. I read him saying in an interview that he always strives for maximum realism while trying to make the scenes cinematically beautiful. Also in it he talked about Stunt Coordination Techniques. If you're interested in this topic, be sure to read this interview, he talks about his approach in detail there.
